It was a dark & stormy night – a late night jam in Denver at an international music conference. Guitarist/Vocalist JJ APPLETON and Harmonica Player MANLIO MILAZZI were brought together by a mutual friend and collaborator: Harmonica legend Jason Ricci. “You guys should meet”, he said. The musical and personal chemistry was instant. “We MUST tour together !!”.

JJ APPLETON’S musical history includes 2 critically lauded acoustic blues/roots albums with Jason Ricci, 3 independent solo albums, and he was previously signed to AATW/Universal UK .
JJ has made television appearances on Late Night with Stephen Colbert, Good Morning America and Carson Daly.

He was handpicked by David Bowie as the original guitarist for Bowie’s award winning musical “Lazarus”. As a producer JJ has produced recordings for Kesha, Grace Gaustad, Erin Bowman and Darius Rucker.

MANLIO MILAZZI is one of the premier harmonica players of his generation and has been awarded at the World Harmonica Festival in Trossingen and at the International Blues Challenge. A former disciple of the harmonica genius Carlo Del Junco, MILAZZI has played with some of the greatest of the contemporary blues scene such as Bob Margolin, Peter Karp, Chris Jagger, Tonky De La Pena, Enrico Crivellaro among others. Manlio is endorsed by Seydel and plays Seydel 1847 harmonicas exlcusively.

APPLETON and MILAZZI are joined by Simone Serafini on the upright bass. One of the best bass player in the business, Serafini regularly tours with some of the top blues and jazz artists of the European scene such as Rachel Gould, Enrico Crivellaro, Tonky De La Pena, Eliana Cargnelutti and more.
